FAQs
What can we expect from therapy?
RiteCare Spokane’s primary service is direct, intensive therapy for children focused on improving speech and language skills. Based on the evaluation results, our therapists develop a specific treatment plan for each child and family.
Therapy typically consists of individualized sessions including the child, his or her parents, and a speech-language pathologist. During sessions, the therapist uses a variety of techniques to teach the child how to speak clearly and to understand and use language appropriately.
Parents regularly observe and participate in treatment sessions. They are coached in a variety of techniques and practice activities for use with their child at home. Our family-centered approach requires that a parent or caregiver accompany the child to observe or participate in each therapy sessions. |
