When children first learn to talk, they may produce sounds incorrectly, delete sounds, or put words in the wrong order as a part of normal development. Persistent problems in any of these areas may indicate a need for a speech-language assessment. The right time to seek help is when you, as a parent, are concerned. It is never too early - or too late.
